Ideas of our project developing, and if these ideas are realistic. What is safe and suitable for our market place environment.
1. is it safe?
Yes, people who engage with our stall will be wearing protective gear from the paint or other media. Our structure will be sound as well, but there is no real danger involved.
2. is it ethical?
Yes, people are able to express themselves with media in their own way, there really won't be a lot of restrictions.
3. it is possible?
Yes, most of our materials to make the structure will be sourced free or cheap from bins, otherwise media is the only big cost - which will be easily distributed between the five of us. To construct the structure, we have talked it over and after making the frame, other materials should be relatively easy to stick onto it.
4. is it affordable?
yes, as stated above - the structure will be made from recyclable material that we can source from bins and media materials will be affordable.
5. how is your concept put in the world?
Expressing yourself, being a part of something, having your say.
6. how do you gather momentum from here?
We are continuing to develop this idea, different media to use and ways to use them. Also sourcing cardboard boxes and materials is next - to literally test the idea.
Brainstorm more options, then start experimenting ideas. We can start to try and think about different cafes who might be interested in purchasing, or somewhere we could donate, like a charity that could be interested? The finished canvas, could create a pitch and a way to promote our idea to these places.
Need to evaluate everyone's ideas and the final idea from group A to answer this question, but a market can be as similar or diverse with what is inside, so I'm unsure whether there will ever be anything missing or if something will always be missing.
I think that if there are gaps, that either group A can bring in some third party people to supply food and drink if there are not 'stalls' from groups B and C. Or our markets just don't have meals for everyone, I'm not sure what direction we are aiming for.
Students will be stressed in the last week before hand in, I think the market place in general is a break for them and then to our 'stall' in particular, it is a good way to express themselves and make their mark.
