Interactive Installation Ideas/Inspiration

William Forsyth - Scattered Crowd
A thousand white balloons suspended up in the air always placed in architecturally significant spaces to create a sensory experience within the space itself with accompanying music.

Andy Warhol and Billy Kluver - Silver Clouds

Changed traditional expectations of art by allowing an experience in which the 'viewer' could mingle and interact with the installation.

It is works such as these from which we can gather and take inspiration from, for our further development in our idea of making our 'collaborative artwork' more than that, we want it to become a semi-interactive experience which at the same time appears to be somewhat of an art installation. After discussing our initial idea, we felt it wasn't quite strong enough as a stand alone idea in terms of originality (being very similar to other groups) and also in relation to the fact that people may not have necessarily wanted to be involved without a defining factor (something to draw them in) to the experience. If we develop the art installation idea, it could work extremely successfully in terms of being different and something that we know for certain people will leave talking about it and discussing the meaning and purpose of it.
